January 26 Ring in the new! After many requests, and the recent changes on Windows Live spaces, I have decided to move our blog to blogspot. It is up and running at www.theluckiestmcbride.blogspot.com I found a way to have a slideshow of pictures and even add some music! Now you can comment away and enjoy us just as much. I will keep this blog 'alive' for awhile since it still has lots of photos and videos to enjoy. See you over there! January 21 Last video... for nowI've kinda run out of things to say. I never wanted to be a daily blog writer for the same reason I don't write daily in my journal. I personally tend to become too specific and miss out on the big picture. I talk about what I did this hour and what happened next and what I ate, when really those things get old afterawhile. So since this is the last video I will be updating the blog when a good story comes along or something eventful happens in our family. Oh, and for photos of course! Hope you've enjoyed all the videos so far.
The last one is of Cade singing. He really enjoys it, but it is hard to catch on tape. January 20 Alex!So I've talked a bit about Dan and about Cade and even myself! Now it's time for what's new in the life of a 7 month old named Alex. I can't believe he's already 7 months old. We're nearing that age where he's been out of the womb longer than he was in! Here are some of the things Alex is doing.
With all that in mind, today's video looks like it's going to be about Cade, but Alex does what he does best. Cry and whine until the attention is on him. Only one video left after this one! January 19 Bartering my goods...Sometimes you need someone in your life who will do things you never would. We walked around an antique store Saturday with Jenn, who works with Dan, and I saw this set of russian dolls (the ones that stack inside themselves) that were Santas. Cool, huh? Well they were $60, and that seller's stuff was 50% off. Still a bit expensive so I didn't give it another thought. Jenn bought an item and asked the seller again if they'd go any lower on them, maybe $15. He had seen me looking through old piano music and asked if I played. She said yes. He said he would give them to me for $8 if I would play two songs on the piano. Crazy, huh? I played a couple songs (or tried to anyways.. i do MUCH better with music in front of me) and he wanted me to teach him the first, maple leaf rag, and I tried my best. Then I got the dolls for $8! I guess I need to step outside my comfort zone every once and awhile huh? As Dan said, "Jenn, you're awesome. You managed to embarass my wife and get her something she wanted in a half an hour!"
Today's video is a good way to start the week. There's nothing better than a laughing baby! January 16 Brrrr....I know I have little room to complain when most of the nation is in single digits or below, but when it's 24 in virginia beach that's pretty dang cold! I've had a long day with Cade today so I really have no energy or much time to compose much of a blog. I just wanted to post a video for ya. Enjoy! I'll post again on Monday.
Today's video is of Cade and Alex opening some presents. We forgot to get the camera out during our Christmas so this is the day after Christmas when G'ma Kathy's gifts came! :) |
